You shall count seven weeks;

Shalom,
De. 16:9 "You shall count seven weeks; begin to count the seven weeks from the time you first put the sickle to the standing grain.
10 Then you shall keep the feast of weeks to the LORD your God with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you shall give as the LORD your God blesses you;

Did they put a sicke to the grain on the "High Sabbath?

Lev. 23:9-11 “And YHWH spoke to Moshe saying, Speak to the children of Yisrael and you shall say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest, and he shall wave the sheaf before YHWH for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Shabbat the priest waves it.”

Pray for the Shalom of Jerusalem.
Shalom u'vracha.

Shalom, pioneer:

Leviticus 23 KJV
[15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: [16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
The Hebrew word here is sabbath, not week. If Shavuot is counted from the morrow after the High Sabbath, it will only fall on the morrow after a weekly sabbath one out of every seven years.

The Rabbinic calculation of Shavuot is incorrect. On that topic, we both agree.
