42 And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other morter, and shall plaister the house.
43 And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plaistered;
44 Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house; it is unclean.
45 And he
shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth [COLOR=dark red]out of the city into an unclean place[/COLOR].

Wow, good verses! I would like to add

Matthew 16:18 "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it.
19 "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

Hopefully we are these stones.

Isn't Hashem wonderful that he gives us verses that when put together give us such a beautiful picture of what he expects of us!!!!

Searching just showed me a post on the Eliyah forum by "simchat_torah" (you, he says) on Acts 10 and Kepha's vision. I would just like to say that it was very insightful and your statement:

Acts 10 deserves its own thread. Understanding Acts 10 will take you on your way to the mindset that blows away a lot of garbage and makes many things so much clearer !

AND ... of course ... will cause you to have dozens more questions -- ha ha

But also, it is sooooooo correct that you must understand the "new testament" in light of the "old." There are no contradictions. If you see what you think is a contradiction, you need to delve deeper, because nothing can contradict Torah. If it does, either it should be discarded or you should look further, because you are misunderstanding.

That is not to say that there are not "discrepancies." But if you call G-d down for discrepancies, you are limiting him to something far less than what he is. G-d says that those who add to or delete from his word will suffer severe consequences, but he does not say that additions and deletions won't occur. BUT, he is G-D, and he is able to bring forth the truth, in spite of ourselves!!

Example --

There are two stories in the gospel of the centurion coming to Yeshua. (Matt 8:5 and Luke 7:6). Some would be quick to bring out this story as a discrepancy, because in one account, the centurion comes to Yeshua HIMSELF, and in the other account, he sends his servants to bring Yeshua to him. No doubt about it, the stories are different, but they are also a beautiful picture of Messiah. Because Yeshua repeatedly said that he was SENT by G-D, to do the will of G-d, to speak the words of G-d.

A king might send a messenger to do his bidding. That messenger carried with him the authority that was vested in him. When he spoke, it was as if the King himself spoke. He was known as the Sheliach, the sent one. His authority was binding. The two accounts of the centurion shows this picture in such an awesome way. In one account, the centurion himself speaks. In the other account, his servants speak on his behalf.

So we see that G-d uses these verses, whether MONKeyed with or not, and he uses them for his glory and his purpose, in spite of ourselves.

We're trying to determine the look and feel, what kind of logo to put in place of "vBulletin" in the heading, etc. Any suggestions anyone has would really be appreciated.

Thank you for the welcome. As a charter member, I realize that it may take some time to "get it together," but I am very excited at the prospects. I don't mind telling you ( and I probably don't have to tell you) how frustrating other forums can be. Oh, I don't mind other opinions, but you know, we come to the point where it is fruitless. I have yearned for a place where people can discuss interesting topics with an open mind.

I live in a rural area of East Texas. One sabbath, as I was heading to sabbath study at a friend's house, I passed by a small Baptist church, with a lighted sign out front. I was flabbergasted by the message.

"Where you find an open mind, you'll find an empty head."

Yes, that's it, isn't it? Don't think too hard about what you've been taught BY MEN. Just BELIEVE. But what if there was a perspective that ... well, it's hard to explain, but it's a place where you "go" that makes the pictures oh so much more clear?!

Ah, well, when we talk together, I believe that G-d is pleased. A father doesn't expect a child to be perfect, only to have a DESIRE to please. What does it mean to KEEP the commandments? It does not mean that we are perfect or that we believe our salvation, resurrection, and restoration is a result of obedience. It means that we HOLDthe commandments DEAR, CLOSE TO OUR HEARTS, and have a desire to perform them perfectly.

I was playing around with the calendar and noticed that you have a birthday coming up. You haven't got me by much (< 2 years).

Are you someone else on Eliyah?

I am Simcha, but have not posted much.

Does that mean that you will be the big 50 this year? It doen't hurt too badly.

I turned 50 last July . . . it wasn't too bad . . . and like they say: It beats the alternative.

I've really not been too active on any forum. I hope to change that a little here.
