    I'm new here

    Hi everyone. I was asked to come and participate here by a friend named Searching. I'm unfamiliar with Tzaddikim, so be patient with me. I am a Christian and I love to talk theology or any old bible topic. I hope to have some good chats here.

    I am glad that you could join. We are happy to have you here. Discussion should be a bit different than those on the Latter Day Saints board. Look around, feel at home. Anything you wish to jump on please do. Also, in some of the forums you may need to select a larger number of days than 30 to view some of the threads. I have noticed recently that some are 'hidden'.

        I was wondering if anyone would take notice.

        Here's the deal. When I became a big hockey fan around '93, the Quebec Nordiques had the best turnaround season ever. I became a big fan of them: Owen Nolan, Mats Sundin, Adam Foote, Joe Sakic. They even had a hot prospect they had aquired in a trade with the Flyers: Peter Forsberg. I just knew they were going to be a great team. Well, they flopped in the '93-'94 season and missed they playoffs. But as the season progressed, I found myself rooting for them, like a had been rooting for the Blues. I even bought tickets to see them play each other at the Arena. The Nords won. It was the last time they came to St. Louis as the Quebec Nordiques. Anyways, it was my dream that the two teams would meet in the Stanley Cup finals. I was, and still am, a very big Hull fan. I remember one time, the Blues beat the Kings 3-2 in overtime, the Golden Brett had a hat trick. When Keenan came along, I was real excited about the Blues. That soon wore off. After he had benched the Gretzky and Hull, I was starting to get ticked at Blues management for putting up with Keenan's bull. They fired Keenan. Wow, that was great right? Then they hired Larry Pleau as the GM. He let Brett Hull walk away to Dallas for nothing. All Brett wanted was a no-trade clause. So... during this time period, I had become a big Joe Sakic fan. I found myself rooting for the Avs against the Blues (after moving from Quebec, the Avs were now in the same conf. as the Blues). I went to the games in St. Louis with my Avalanche gear on. Kids gave me dirty looks. I had become the enemy. The people I work with started to talk trash. I talked trash back to them. We made "soda bets" on the games whenever the Blues and Avalanche would play.

        This Sunday, look for me on ESPN2. I'll be the guy standing up with raised fists when Brent Johnson takes a look behind himself and sees the puck in the net. I'll have on my Nordiques jersey.

          Sunday I'll be the guy in the Blues Jersey giving the people in the Crapalanche Jerseys trouble. Between that and chanting RRRRROOOOOYYYYYY as well as yelling at the blind zebras.

            Yes, I did see the goal by Demitra. 'Twas a nice move. Captain Hack (Pronger) should have been arrested after the game for assault with a graphite weapon though.

            I hope Detroit gets waxed in the first round. Can't stand 'em. Maybe St. Louis will get to do the honors.

            Are you really going to the game on Sunday?

              [Yeah, pronger should have been arrested. He's not my favorite. One of my friends in is love with him though. She thinks he's the greatest. "Ohhh, Chris Pronger Made eye contact with me". ---She'll never live that one down.

              Detriot I hate after the Blackhawks took a back seat the last few years. The Blackhawks remember how to play hockey again this year though. I don't hate a team untill we meet them in the playoffs.

                  Coors light is really bad beer....

                  must always remind myself of that when colorado is in town...he he he...okay...
