  • The Shedding Of Blood!

    Hi Everyone,
Blessings to you through Messiah Yahushua, My YAHWEH and My ELOHIM!
Here is a post that I made yesterday , the Day of Atonement, on Armageddon Online Forums entitled the Shedding Of Blood:
    Hi Everyone,
Blessings to you through Messiah Yahushua, My YAHWEH and My ELOHIM!
    Shabbat Shalom! Happy Fast!
The Day of Atonement is a very special day. Consider:
    Leviticus 16:29-31
29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
30 For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.
Notice that the activities of this day cleanses the sinner from all sins before YAHWEH. The process of cleansing involves personal affliction as well as the sacrifice of various animals whose blood is sprinkled in the Holiest. Confession was also made over a goat designated to be led into the wilderness in order to be destroyed.
This day is special because at no other time are deliberate sins cleansed through sacrifice and ritual as they are on this day. Indeed, under the Law there is no sacrifice for deliberate sins. Therefore, a conflict exists between what is allowed on this day and what is allowed on all other days. Under the Law, deliberate sinners must be killed (see Numbers 15:30-31).
So, how do I resolve this conflict? We are not cleansed from our sins through a substitutional sacrifice, and the events on the Day of Atonement proves this to be true. The removal of sins is detailed by a process outlined for us in this Law of Atonement, and that process does involve a number of things including these three:
    • Personal suffering or affliction
    • The shedding of our blood and the transformation that comes through the burning of our flesh
    • And the complete separation and destruction away from us of the rebellious nature found in most of us
Now, it has already been mentioned on this thread that obedience to ELOHIM can be learned through physical suffering. In dealing with our sinful flesh, what say you, do we all have need of self denial and personal affliction? If substitution is possible as most think, why the commandment for self denial? Furthermore, if substitution is possible, how are our sins removed by the shedding of the blood of someone else?:
    Hebrews 9:22
22 And almost all things are by the law cleansed with blood; and without shedding of blood no deliverance happens.
Thinking in advance any that should be moved to reply, I am,
    Sincerely, Latuwr
I wonder, are there any Christians reading here that would like to explore with me whether or not the blood of Yahushua was shed vicariously, that is, in our stead?
Thanking in advance any that should be moved to reply, I am,
    Sincerely, Latuwr
