  • The Seventh Day

    Greetings All,

Today I am going to talk a bit about the Seventh Day. The Seventh Day is the day in which the Father in Heaven rested from the marvelous work that he had created. This Day he blessed and gave to the children of Israel as a day of rest and a sign between He and Israel that it is HE who sactifies him:
Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
The sabbath was given to the children of Israel as one of the Ten commandments that were brought down from the mountian by Moses, a servant of the Father. This seventh day, is one of the appointed and special feasts of the Father:
Leviticus 23:1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,
The set feasts of Jehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my set feasts.

3 Six days shall work be done:
but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of work: it is a sabbath unto Jehovah in all your dwellings.

    4
These are the set feasts of Jehovah, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their appointed season.
As a set feast of the Father, it is a Day in which one can rest from their work, and rejoice in the Father who has given such a day. The sabbath was made for man (Mark 2:27), a day to live unto the Father.

Sadly, there are not alot of people who are aware of this day. Awareness is qrowing slowly, as people get the Word out. Many do not feel that the seventh day is important, or relevent to them. Please keep in mind that it is a command of the Father.

Not only is it a command of the Father, it is an event that will occur as the Day of the L-rd or the L-rd's Day is manifested unto mankind.

The Day of the L-rd will be a great day. In it the sabbath's will be kept, and all will rejoice for it is a day of rejoicing:

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another,
and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
This shall be the fulfillment of the sabbath, which the childred of Israel will be gathered and enjoy to the Father.

The sabbath, is one day in the plan of the Father. Days to the Father are as thousand years to the inhabitants of earth:
Psalm 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
This Day of the L-rd, shall also, as one day, be a thousand years:

Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more,
till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

    4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands;
and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
As the children of Israel have a day in which they may rest from their work, so is there a Day, or a thousand years in which man will rest from the torment of sin, a day which the Father has set aside, in which all will worship and honor him.

So you see, the seventh day is a shadow of things that are to come. A day set aside that we as believers in his son the Lamb can come together and worship, in Faith and Love of the Father:

Collosions 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

    17 Which are a shadow of things to come;
    but the body of Christ.
I could quote you the entire second chapter of Collosions, that you obey the commandments of the Father, and not of men, and that you focus on things above, but you have read it, you know that the commandments of the Father are high and above; for this is the sole duty of man:
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Peace All, and I do pray and hope that you see the beauty of the seventh day, and that we all may rejoice in the Day of the L-rd.

    Sincerely,

It seems that all of Christendom has been misled, not only about the Sabbath, but all of God's feast day. Col.2.16 and Gal.4.8-10 was written by Paul who kept the Hebrew Sabbath and feasts, and was preaching to the Gentiles that they were not to let anyone judge them unworth to also partake, but they were not to try to mingle among those called "the circumcision"(1 Cor.7.18). The unity of the faith was set for "the dispensation of the fulness of times"(Eph.1.10).

The Roman calendar was brought into the faith several hundred years after the Apostle were all dead; And it was a deliberate device to waylay the latter day "Sons of God" (Rom.8.19). Acts 15.20 shows that the reduced stipulation for bringing the Gentiles into the faith said "abstain from the pollutions of idols", and it is the pollutions of idols less the actual carved figures that the common holidays via the Roman calendar keep in the faith.

The sabbath was re named for a pagan god just as were all the days of the week(Ex.23.13, Rev.14.5; Ez.22.26), and the lunar months were exchanged for the months set according to the seasons of the pagan gods. The feast days were exchanged for pagan feasts with some titles changed to disguise the deeds, with stories of the Lord brought in with all the pagan traditions (2 Cor.6.14-16).

You spoke of the thousand year reign, and listed Ps.90.4, I will mention Ps.84.10 "For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand, I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness". It is my belief that is where Isa.65.20 comes into play; Time will not effect those who are truly in the Lord, but others will suffer the effects of time. Isa.58.13-14 says it is those who love and honor the Sabbath that the Lord will cause to ride the high places of the earth, and feed them with the heritage of Jacob.

      Joining the Armada

      Greetings Glori,

Welcome to the Tzaddikim Forums. I do hope your stay here is a pleasent one.

I was curious if you were going to post. I noticed you joined a while ago...I am glad you did.

I see also you are a personal maid. Perhaps you mean one of the Father's Personal Maids. There are always those who clean his house.

Much in the way my friend helped to clean house. He observed the sabbath, food Laws, feasts. All these signs that I did not understand. He was of course the first one I came to once I began my spiritual journey.

Glad to see you see. Help us reflect the light!

      Blessings to you as well.

      Sincerely,

        Valad Name,

Thanks for the welcome! Yes I am a personal maid, and that means that I do not clean house... I just wait on my employer. I love working a four day week with the rest of the time free to help my Mom and study God's word. I do so hope to be a personal maid in my Father's house as well, I can't imagine a more wonderful way to spend eternity.

I look forward to talking with you.

          The Seventh Day

Hello to all, May I add my input as to what the Sabbath is to Israel? According to Judaism on the Sabbath an extra portion of God's holy spirit enter man to bring renewal to his/her body and spirit. At the end of the day a large breath is taken and then exhaled releasing the energy back into the universe from where it came.
The word convocation means a meeting or gathering together, the seventh day is a time for the breath of God to join/meet or gather together with ours for the day.

            Shabbat Shalom!

            Greetings Midge,

Welcome to the Forum! Thanks for stopping by.

Indeed the through the commandment The Father will give us Life!
            Matthew 19:17
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Anyone who has ever kept the Sabbath through conviction will know this, Much MORE, anyone who has BROKEN the sabbath with conviction. Not much peace there.

May I ask what part of Ohio you are from? I was born in Toledo.
