  • Adam -the Ancient of days

Today is one of my days off so I have a lot of free time today. So I decided to put it to some good use.
Has Adam become like God? Or will Adam one day be as God?
While reading this morning in Daniel I came across a few verses that caught my attention. In chapter 7 verses 9-14. Daniel has many visions in this certain one he sees the Ancient of days (Adam). When the thrones are cast down (to earth I assume) he sees Adam sitting on on the throne. His garment is as white as snow, his hair as pure wool, his throne like a fiery flame, his wheels as burning fire. I'm not sure what all the symbolism is. I have read in Revelations (that is my favorite book) where it mentions what the risen Lord appears like. A few descriptions are similar.

I also noticed Adam will also judge ten thousand times ten thousands. They stand before him, the judgment is set and the books are opened so I assume that is what is meant. Then the Son of Man will appear. So will Adam come to earth again to prepare the way of the Son of God? There are so many interesting things reading the Bible causes me to wonder.

Hmmm. Why do you say that it's Adam who's the "Ancient of Days"?

After reading Daniel 7:9-14, it sounds to me like the Ancient of days is Messiah. It says that people will worship him. It says that his kingdom will not pass away. These things are attributed to Messiah in the New Testament, are they not?

It says in there that one like the Son of God will come to the Ancient of days. I took that as meaning that Christ will come to the Ancient of days.

Ah, yes. I misread it. Looks to me, then, that the Ancient of Days is the Father. Interesting...

Christ is the only Father, then who is the one like the Son of God who comes to the Ancient of days?
