) states that G~d cannot be tempted, and Hebrews 4:15 states that Messiah "was in all points tempted like as <I>we are, yet</i> without sin." Think about it: in order to be really tempted, He would have to be totally separated and unaware of His "G~d side," and when He worked miracles, one might think that He transcended His "man side." I looked schizophrenia up in the dictionary, and it is defined as: "a mental disorder characterized by...delusions of persecution and omnipotence, often with unimpaired intelligence..." After further consideration, I think that Multiple Personality Disorder might fit the G~d/man theory more accurately than schizophrenia. I find it more logical to consider the probability that Messiah emptied himself of the G~dhead in order to be tempted as we and, by the power of G~d's spirit, could overcome without sin. This Spirit also gave the Messiah (and those who followed afterward) the ability to work miracles (i.e. it was not necessary to BE G~d in order to perform the mighty works that Messiah accomplished).
